JCMI is a not-for-profit organization governed by a voluntary Board of
Directors, with part-time staff, who have extensive experience in the Jewish and business
communities. Board members receive no compensation and office space is donated free of charge.
JCMI operates under the regulations as set out in the Government of Ontario - Funeral,
Burial and Cremation Services Act, 2002 (FBCSA) under the supervision
of The Bereavement Authority of Ontario (BAO).
All funds are invested in cemetery improvements and a Care & Maintenance
Trust for future preservation of Jewish cemeteries.
